The difference delivery makes

Most people underestimate how much delivery changes the impression they make.

Without coaching

  • Long, wandering answers
  • Filler words every few sentences
  • Monotone delivery that loses the room
  • Fidgeting or avoiding eye contact

After focused practice

  • Concise answers with clear structure
  • Deliberate, clean language
  • Vocal variety that holds attention
  • Grounded, present body language

What we work on

Vocal presence and tonality

Pitch, pace, volume. The difference between someone who sounds confident and someone who sounds nervous is often in how they use these. We diagnose, then practise.

Clarity and conciseness

Cutting the excess from answers without losing the substance. This is harder than it sounds. Most people need to practise saying the same thing in half the words.

Non-verbal communication

Posture, eye contact, hand movement, micro-expressions. Your body says things before your mouth does. We look at recordings and address specific habits.

High-stakes presentations

The same skills that work in interviews work in boardrooms. Clients who do this work for interviews often find it changes how they present to stakeholders too.

Questions

Is this different from standard interview prep?

Yes. Interview prep focuses on what you say. Communication coaching focuses on how you say it — tone, pacing, body language, and delivery. Most people benefit from both, but they're distinct skills.

Do I need any experience with public speaking?

No. Most clients start with very little formal training. The coaching meets you where you are and works from there.

Will you record sessions?

With your permission, yes. Playback is one of the most effective tools in communication coaching. Hearing yourself is different from being told what you sound like.

How many sessions does communication work usually take?

It varies. Some habits shift quickly — fillers and pacing often improve within two sessions. Deeper changes to presence and delivery take longer, usually three to five sessions with practice in between.

Can this help with presentations and meetings, not just interviews?

Yes. The skills are transferable. Several clients come specifically for interview prep but find the work changes how they show up in other professional contexts too.
